We know the site hasn't been as active as usual, but we are still here!
Lez1234 was founded by community activists, and since our community has been targeted, many of us have thrown our energy at organizing over the past month. Our goal in making this site was to have a healthy online community where you come on when you have time, share what you want and tap out.
We literally can't trap you on our site watching endless reels- we just want to connect community in a simple space to come together.
Some of us know each other in person- when a trans woman in our community became the target of national attacks, we showed up in support.
One of the people trying to profit off of transphobia and gain himself some notoriety literally almost attacked us- as a group of obviously queer, non-binary folx. He targeted the most femme-presenting person in the group. We've also seen this person target, threaten and physically intimidate woman across southern California.
He's using this white supremacist catchphrase "Get Activated"
Little did he know we got activated.
We'll be posting events, rallies, and protests in the San Diego area, as this is where we're based. (Please share what's happening in your community, even if you don't plan on going - help us uplift what our community's doing!)
We've created an activist community as we want to keep it light over here on Lez1234 - but feel free to check it out if you're an activist dyke like us.
But also just a reminder post - get out in the world - even if it's just a walk outside.
We're so glued to our screen, sometimes we forget.
But it's been good to go back to being boots on the ground.
