So i agreed to watch fight club recently due to ... convoluted reasons and was really dreading it. I was already spoilt on the film's general plot -- i dont remember how -- and i know the kinds of people who are fans of this film but i agreed anyways, i have perfected the art of sitting still and staring at a tv while looking like im actually paying attention so what was to loose?
It was good. Like top ten films i have ever seen good. It has some flaws but overall i give it an 8.9/10.
are there any films where you have had a similar experience ?

THE LIGHTING?? THE CUT IN FRAMES OF BRAD PITT REFERENCEING HOW THE CHARACTER DOES THE SAME????THE PUNCHING OF JARED LETO OMG???

i feel like all the awful film bros who like Fight Club could not be missing the point of the movie harder, right? like it's a SATIRE of toxic masculinity afaik? anyways I have it on dvd so this shining endorsement really makes me want to give it a try. I hear American Psycho is in the same boat, ie insufferable American Psycho bros are somehow missing the main point of the movie or smth (I have also never watched American Psycho so don't quote me on this)
